What happens if the development doesn't go ahead?
AWhile unlikely, it is possible that an apartment development doesn't go ahead, for example, if not enough sales are made. If this occurs, you become entitled to a refund of the deposit from the developer. You'd need to use that refund to repay your Urban Connect Plus loan. If the refund is not enough to repay the loan in full, you'll remain liable for the difference. If there are surplus funds available after you have repaid your Urban Connect Plus loan, those funds will be returned to you.

What does a settlement agent do?
A
A settlement agent prepares the legal documents for you to complete and return to their office to allow settlement to occur. You'll need to appoint a settlement agent to conduct settlement on your behalf. The seller will also have a settlement agent. You can read more at A guide to settlement

AYes. Keystart will lend up to 90% of the residential security value without Lenders Mortgage Insurance.

Is there a time limit for the discharge form?
A
The form expires six months from the date of it being lodged with Keystart. If settlement has not occurred within six months of the discharge form being signed, we will need a new one to be completed.
